TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 28th December 2019)
“This was the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:23-24 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 362nd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF GOING FORWARD.
For 362 days the LORD has watched over us and kept us in His mercies! From the beginning days of the year and now to the final days, its simply out of His mercies that we are not consumed. Today is part of the final days of this eventful year. We have a lot to thank God for, especially the apostolic family of the Cry of the Spirit Ministry.
This is the year the LORD increased our media coverage both nationally and internationally. It is a year He gave us a Portal of Mercy to use in diffusing the knowledge of His will and ways to the perishing and among those that are being saved.
I received a message from a very jealous and bitter person who poured his venom on me for according to the words “owning a media house”. The person said my days as a false prophet were over. I marveled at how much Satan hates me. He really hates me than I tought because of what the LORD is accomplishing my our hands. I was almost tempted to pray an earth opening prayer like Moses did but I said no. Let the dead burry the dead.
Like I have always said, there are more insane people in so many so called prophetic or deliverance churches today than we have in psychiatric hospitals. They claim to be of GOD but hate whatever is of God with passion. That is insanity induced by demons!
Their claim to be of GOD is just a cover up so that men will treat them as GOD’s people. When they are treated as God’s people their lies are treated as truth leading to the shipwreck of people’s faith. God gave us the media house to do just one thing; Cry from the housetop what He speak to us in the ears. If you are angry then go find GOD and beat Him up! Leave us alone!
There are so many things the LORD did this year. One of the majors was the sweeping of the refuse of lies, which lead to the exposure of the snakes among us that were hiding in their baskets of religious cover up. To me this was one of the great helps of God we received.
As we march towards the final hours of the year, it is important that we consider GOD’s marvelous deeds and thank HIM.
FINAL HOURS ARE VERY IMPORTANT HOURS OF EVERY YEAR!
They are hours of looking inward and considering things you will not normally consider. They are hours you sit to measure GOD’s goodness in your life.
But can a man really measure God’s goodness? Can we really fathom what His Mercies accomplishes even in the life of the worst terrorist on earth on daily bases? Though there are two sets of GOD’s mercies. One is for those who are doing His will, His word and following His ways on daily bases, while the other is for the rest of His creation.
God’s mercies for the rest of mankind or His creation (even the terrorist) is for them to abandon their sinful and wicked ways and serve the LORD. But His mercies for His own is for us to keep doing His will, doing His word, and following His ways! But can our finite minds comprehend what an infinite God does to demonstrate His love towards us on daily bases?
Friend, there are things God does in and for us on daily bases that we know nothing about. That is why it is good to thank God even if our brains tell us there is nothing to thank Him for.
One day Dr. Caroline Leaf, one of the Daughters of the KING in the medical field, blew my mind open when she said, “God gives us 300 million new cells every day” to renew our lives. She said this happens every night. Everyone good or bad wakes up in the morning with new cells. That explains why the Bible says God’s mercies are new every morning.
Last night you slept with a number of cells. But this morning you woke up with 300 million new cells in your body. Hallelujah!
Now calculate that by 365 days then you will know how many trillions of cells we get freely from GOD without sowing a seed every year. If today’s preachers where in charge of cell renewal, many of us would have been dead by now. The reason is simple; we will not have the kind of money they will request that we sow into their lives to reap the cells.
Friend, you cannot afford to turn your back on this God. He is so gracious that our mortal minds cannot fathom. That is why the devil deceive many to believe He either do not exist or do not care about them. Seeds of ingratitude to Him are planted that way.
With all these, wouldn’t it be important that we make up our minds to allow more fear from GOD to grow out of our hearts as gratitude? You see, there is a law that governs the release of God’s goodness and mercy in our lives. When that law is operational, it renders the activities of the devil ineffective in our lives.
THE LAW IS SEEN IN THE PARABLE OF THE VINEYARD IN “ISAIAH 5:1-7” AND WAS REITERATED BY JESUS IN ONE OF HIS PARABLES.
The law simply states that “God’s mercy is an investment that expects the fear of God as proceed.” Meaning, if God show us mercy over time and pour His goodness on daily bases into our lives, it is primarily to exhume His fear from our lives. If that did not happen after a long time, things will become bad with us.
If God creates fresh cells in me while asleep – 300 million of them on daily bases – why should I wake and proceed to do wicked things in return? Why should I use His mercy as an incentive to live in sin and ungodliness? Why should I not life up my voice to glorify Him as soon as I wake up, thanking Him for a new day?
May God plant thoughts of gratitude in our hearts every morning, in Jesus precious name!
Men who are always grateful to God get great things from Him. But those who are ungrateful get nothing from Him. Their lives are always on the average. Satan will not let you see God’s goodness and mercies in your life because He fears a grateful heart. It generates so much power in the Spirit realm and neutralizes him and his works.
In Judges 1:7, when the key leaders who arose after Joshua where all dead, the nation of Israel was left with no directive on how to invade the rest of the land and take possession of what the LORD has given them. They went to God in prayer to seek directives. One of the things they inquired of the LORD about was strategy for successful invasion; they were concerned with who should go first against the enemy.
You see in the KINGDOM of God our spiritual leaders have a lot to do with our spiritual victories. Leadership plays key role in the victory that followers enjoy in warfare. That is why you do not give yourself a pastor. You wait on the LORD to give you one.
Whoever is your pastor, or your spiritual father will be responsible for the victories you celebrate in life.
Sadly, we live in a generation that claims it does not need spiritual fathers. Indirectly, they are fathers and spiritual leaders to themselves. Friend, if you are the pastor or spiritual father of yourself, your life will be doomed. It is just a matter of time.
So, the Israelites after Joshua knew the importance of who leads you into warfare. They knew that seeking divine direction on who to lead them was critical. Then they asked the LORD “Who will go before us.” And the LORD replied, “Judah should go first”.
JUDAH MEANS PRAISE! GOD WAS SAYING TO THEM LET PRAISE GO FIRST.
This has nothing to do with singing. It has so much to do with gratitude. Because you can sing without being grateful to God, but you cannot be grateful to GOD without singing or leading a grateful life. In other words, only a grateful heart can praise God effectively. So, in effect, God was saying to the Israelites “Let grateful hearts go first, and you will generate so much power that will put the enemy to flight” Hallelujah!
But there is something deeper there. God asked Judah to go first because of the messianic seed in Judah. Judah is the lineage of Kings. The messiah was coming out of Him. Him going first was Christ going ahead of them. But in the shallow places of the Spirit, it means let Praise go first – let grateful hearts lead the way.
A grateful heart makes God fearful in praises. It makes God do wonders on the face of the earth through its praise! That is how it generates power in the spirit realm. You can carry a supernatural powerhouse by cultivating a grateful heart wherever you go. If you will not allow Seeds of ingratitude to breed in your heart, you will be generating supernatural power wherever you go.
There is one major season Satan and men come to plant seed of ingratitude in us. That season is our Season of pain. That is why the Bible says in everything we should rejoice and give God thanks because it is the will of God concerning us in Christ Jesus!
Thought it is difficult, but one way to do this is by taking our focus off the bad things and fixing it on what God have done! In my opinion, the early Church was kept powerful by keeping to this principle.
That was why Paul and Silas praised God during very unpleasant circumstances. And their praise generated so much power in the Spirit realm that the natural realm gave way; the prison doors, chains, etc. broke into pieces. The result was the salvation of lost souls and freedom of the captives.
Friend do demon in hell or perverted man on earth can hold a grateful heart in any kind of prison for too long.
IT WILL UNLEASH A KIND OF PRAISE TO GOD THAT WILL GENERATE POWER ON EARTH.
We can now understand why the prophet Habakkuk refused to allow his circumstances dictate his heart flow towards God. He wrote saying,
Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls — Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18 NKJV
As you pass through the last moments of year 2019, make this key one of your master keys for turning God loose in 2020 and you will be most blessed! Remember it is our Year of Rejoicing! So, step into it in High Praise, REJOICING unto the LORD. Ride on the wings of God’s power into 2020. Do not just walk into it.
Forget about what good you did not see this year and fix your eyes on the good you saw. If you multiply 300 Million cells by the 362 days (today’s counting) you have already seen in 2019, you will be amazed at what the LORD did in our lives. Do not forget, some of us spent those nights in sin yet it did not stop our cells from being recreated or renewed.
You see, if GOD was dealing with us according to our sins, no cell will be created in us in nights we spent in sin. That would have meant death. I believe the message of today have been passed.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.” Ps 103:9-15 NKJV
