TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 31ST July 2020)
“I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.”
“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
“I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.” Ecclesiastes 3:10-12 KJV
WELCOME TO THE 211TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
This scripture is loaded with so many mysteries about TIME that we will need a move of the Spirit in our spirits to uncover all. But let us begin with praise to our God for bringing us peacefully to “the end of the seventh month of our year of rejoicing.”
The devil declared it a year of COVID-19, but God saw it afar off and declared it a YEAR OF REJOICING FOR US. Who is like unto this God? Who can be in the past, the present and the future all at the same time!
Who is like unto our GOD, who created days and appointed man to live peacefully within them? Who is like unto our LORD God! Moses would say, “Among the gods who is like unto Him! Glorious in Holiness and fearful in praises! Doing wonders! Hallelujah!”
There will never be another July 2020 until the consummation of all things. Yes, they will be July 2021, and so on but there will be no July 2020 again until we each of us fulfill our days and leave the earth.
We bless Our LORD Jesus Christ for the month of July. It was a gift that came with many opportunities. Some of us used it to do God’s righteous will for our lives; relocate to new realms in the spirit, changed places of worship, get new spiritual fathers, improved our faith and now we are set of what the LORD has for us for the month of August – a month we believe will be the best month of August we have ever had on earth.
SADLY, THERE ARE THOSE WHO DID NOT MAKE A POSITIVE USE OF THIS MONTH. TODAY THEY ARE WORSE THAN THE MONTH MET THEM.
Many do not know that the only way to position yourself to be blessed by a man is to spend it pursuing the Ancient of Days and His program for your life. Jesus is the Ancient of Days because He was in the beginning before the beginning began.
However, His system of reaching mankind is through the five-fold ministry gifts – His fingers on earth. They are God’s eagles on earth, and it is important to ride on their wings all through a given month so long as they will connect and keep you connected with the Ancient of Days Himself.
The Bible says they are given to us for our equipping. And the best way they equip us is through spiritual feeding on by the instrumentality of spiritual fathering.
The truth remains, without a spiritual father to feed you with rich spiritual food, a divine plan to guide you daily, some natural and divine wisdom to apply in decision making from day to day, and a heart to use in facing the challenges of life squarely with the aim of defeating them under God, a month will come and go leaving you worse than it met you.
If you could not make use of this month to improve your life, or your walk and talk with God as His child, another month begins tomorrow – the month of August. Make use of it. Yes, God wants you to make use of it, so that it can leave you more blessed than it met you.
The reason God created days, weeks, months, and years is simple for signs and seasons. It is to help us number our days so we can apply our hearts unto wisdom. If we do not apply our hearts unto Heavenly wisdom each day, week, month, or year to as they roll by, we will loose big time.
It may interest you to be reminded again (as we have always done through this devotionals) that God does not live in time. He lives in eternity.
To Him, there are no natural nights, no days, no weeks, no months; no July, no august no anything. And though He created natural days and placed mankind within them, He has His own unique calendar. People who know that understand that He does not live in natural days.
I remember teaching about that in one of our conferences the week one of my sons was born.
THE MESSAGE WAS TITLED “WINNING THE BATTLES OF YOUR PROPHETIC DAYS.”
I encourage you to get it. It was preached in 2014.
You see, God’s plans for us are not in time but eternity. In other words, they are not governed by our own time but His time frame. Consequently, things do not leave Heaven to the earth in our own time. They do so in His time frame.
Sadly, sometimes His time frame clashes with ours, and since many of us do not know how to recognize or submit to it, you find us ending up losing whatever He came to bless our lives with. That is why the Life of many Christian go in a cycle. They do not know how to recognize God’s time of visitation and things that makes for their peace. And instead of the prophets pointing this truth to them they point them to the altars of their father’s houses and some devils.
Jesus Himself made it clear that many of us suffer and are stagnated in life because we do not now our time of visitation; we do not know when God has come to move us to the next level. In simple terms, we suffer because we either cannot recognize God’s time for our visitation or reject it all together each time it comes.
The Bible says,
“Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 Douay-Rheims
That brings us to the challenge every Child of God faces; how can we relate successfully with this God who does not live in our time but in His eternity?
The only way we can relate successfully with Him is to know His time of visitation and be ready for it. A people who do not know how to humble themselves and accept or come into God’s time of visitation for them, will remain trapped in the perils of life.
I believe the 50 days on the Wings of the Spirit starting tomorrow is GOD’s time of visitation for someone. Things can only be made beautiful in our lives in God’s time not our time. If we cannot humbly see, sense, and cease the divine timing of GOD for our visitation, things will remain ugly in our lives.
A MAJOR HIGHLIGHT IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT TODAY SAYS,
“I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
The word “travail” in this scripture simply means God given task.
It has nothing to do with suffering or adversity. The Bible was referring to what God has assigned us to do within our own time frame. And that to me is to discover His time and align to it. In other words, respond to its demands.
God’s time comes with deliverance to receive, blessings to collect, instructions to obey, visions to pursue and execute, plans and purpose to make our goals, etc. That is why His time is called “DAY OF VISITATION.” It is usually full of divine moments to sense and see through the eyes of faith and cease swiftly.
One thing about divine moments is that when they come and we do not see, sense, and cease them, they go back to eternity living us dry. That is why many of us are still stagnated in life. Do not forget, until things leave Heaven to the earth of our lives, we will never go forward in life. And the time they do so is in God’s time (God’s days of visitation, divine moments) not our time.
That brings us to the second truth we can glean from the same devotional text. It says
“HE HATH MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME:”
Why is God’s time so powerful? It is powerful because that is the only time, He moves to make things beautiful! If you wait for Him in your own time you will never see Him.
For instance, many are still single today because they do not understand this mystery. Few years ago, they thought it was God’s time to get married when the met a man or woman and started courting or dating them. Eventually things turned out sour leaving them still single – even worse than they were before the relationship.
The Bible spoke about an evil time. It says,
“For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.” Ecclesiastes 9:12 NKJV
What is an evil time? I shared about this in a recent CHURCH IN THE HOUSE session when we were looking at the subject of timing.
There are two basic times in scriptures, God’s time, and our time. In God’s time, He makes things beautiful, but in our time, no matter how we pray, fast, give, stay awake, or do all we can in other to move Him to do it, He does not.
The Bible calls God’s time “beautiful” and calls every other time “evil.”
An evil time therefore is a time that is not God’s. It could be ours, that of our love ones or that of the devil, but it is not God’s time.
The single lady or young man who thought it was time to get married but ended up becoming a single mother or single father missed God’s time. He took a decision in an evil time and got the consequences.
EVIL TIMES ARE TIMES SATAN USES TO ENSNARE US AND DEPOSIT SOME ISHMAEL’S IN OUR LIVES.
All the scars in my life are products of things I did in an evil time. And if you look at your life also you can say the same thing with me. Our pains in life are usually products of thins we did in an evil time.
No one can happily pass through this world doing things in “AN EVIL TIME.” That was what Jesus knew hence waiting for “DIVINE TIMING” for every healing He gave, every dead He raised, and every move He made.
Jesus did not even submit to death until it was time. If He had submitted to it, it would have been “an evil time.” And trust the word, He would have remained in the grave till date.
You see, if you want to move forward in the new month that is starting tomorrow, you must be sensitive to God’s time or divine moments. You must walk in the revelation we just shared.
You must cease doing things in your time because your time (or that of any other person who loves you) is an evil time. Only God’s time is beautiful. And do not forget, things will always be ugly in your life if you keep doing things in your own timing and trusting God to take care of you.
God will never take care of you if you do not recognize His timing for you and align with it.
Friend, it is better to get married in A BEAUTIFUL TIME than in AN EVIL TIME full of beautiful things. It is better to get rich in a beautiful time than in an evil time full of rich things.
The Book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 tells us the two basic types of timings on the face of the earth. It tells us that there is a time to sow and a time to reap. If you sow when you ought to reap or reap when you ought to sow, your financial life will remain ugly.
IT ALSO TELLS US OF A TIME TO EMBRACE AND A TIME TO REFRAIN FROM EMBRACING.
Meaning, there are season to socialize and seasons not to socialize. If you socialize when you ought not to socialize you will plunge yourself into things that even prayer may not save you.
Knowing God’s timing for things before doing them is the best way to lead a Christian life!
Sadly, Satan has a way of making an evil time look beautiful and attractive to us, consequently impregnating us with the urge to move into things thinking it’s God’s timing. The attack is basically to make us miss the blessing. But I trust God has made someone wiser today.
You will not fall into an evil time again in Jesus precious name!
As we bring this to a close, I want you to understand that there is a people Jesus is currently weeping over; Christians who are about falling into some calamities because they do not understand their time of visitation.
May you not be part of a Christian generation that do not know the timings of the LORD!

“For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Luke 19:41-44 NKJV
