TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Thursday 12th August 2021)
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 224TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
This is the day the LORD has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. God has been faithful to us. I hear stories of miracles every day from those who experience the reset on Sunday. The amazing things the LORD is doing. From getting jobs to having lost properties recovered to healing and etc. This is aside the many miracles of the mind and the spirit!
May the LORD be praised for being among us and doing such great things in our lives.
Yesterday we looked at matters of Relationship. Today the LORD has a word for us on operating in divine wisdom. It is through wisdom that kings reign and princes decree Justice. I pray that we find something to eat from the table of master this morning.
The Bible made it clear that we the saved and sanctified have been made kings and priests to our God and that we will reign forever.
That is talking about the millennium and beyond. But our reign ought to begin now. We are to reign in every aspect of life by walking in dominion. Not the earthly kind of dominion but the dominion Jesus had over creation and the invisible world when He was here.
The main reason is to bring everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God to the obedience of Christ. So we need divine wisdom to do that.
We are to enforce the will of GOD by converting the Kingdoms of this world into that of God and of His Christ through divine wisdom. When saved and sanctified people therefore, do not operate in divine wisdom, the Christian life will be like a plague to them. In fact, you will regret giving your life to Christ if you do not spend your Christian life operating in divine wisdom.
You can do without an Education but you can never do without divine wisdom. It is through divine wisdom we bring into our lives what God has finished concerning us in the spirit realm. In other words, it is through divine wisdom we outsource blessings and finished works from Heaven to our lives on earth.
And I have come to discover that any Christian life that is not outsourcing its sustenance from Heaven, will be consumed by devils parading the earth. We were originally created to outsource our lives from Heaven to the earth.
IF WE START OUTSOURCING OUR LIVES FROM THE EARTH, WE WILL LIVE UNDER CURSES. MOUNT EBAL WILL BE OUR DWELLING PLACE!
And talking about curses I want you to understand that no curse can work in the life of someone who is outsourcing his life from Heaven. In other words, one living on Mount Gerizim. No curse can work in the life of someone whose life decisions are not from the earth.
Yes, no curse can work in the life of someone whose wisdom is not from this world. No curse can work in the life of people operating in divine or Heavenly wisdom.
When Daniel operated in divine wisdom he and his friends did not perish with the wise men of Babylon. They spent their days at the palace dissolving mysteries and solving enigmas. Friend, you do not need a man in your life, neither do you need some money in your pocket. You need divine wisdom in your heart. That will bring the people and money you need in life.
The Bible says;
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; James 1:5-8 NKJV
Time has come for someone reading this to start spending his or her daily life asking the LORD for the wisdom that is from above.
When we are in a cross road in life, we should not throw our hands in the air and start crying or feeling sorry for ourselves. We should bow our knees in prayer asking the LORD for wisdom that is not from this world to deal with the situation. That was what David did when he was in a terrible situation in the last two chapters of the Book of 1 Samuel.
READ IT AND SEE HOW OUR FATHERS NAVIGATED THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE USING WISDOM THAT IS NOT FROM THIS WORLD.
If we do not operate in the wisdom that is from above, everything from hell will hinder us and make our lives a misery. We will not be able to fulfil our calling as Christians, neither will we become all that the LORD has called us to be.
Don’t forget, the Christian faith is a call to battle.
In this battle we are to manifest on earth a life that God has finished in Heaven within the days He has given us on earth. That is why in the apostolic the Church is considered “an army” and those who are born again “soldiers.”
We are the army of the LORD on earth, fighting His battles in partnership with His Holy Spirit TO MAKE SURE things are on earth as finished in Heaven. Sadly, many do not even know this, hence living a defeated Christian life! Satan knows so much about our calling hence fighting is viciously, but we know so little about it. That is why we fall into his schemes and snares.
Friend, the fallen angel knows who you are that is why spiritual warfare is intense around you. If we do not know that we are called into battle, and that the fight we are called into is a good fight of faith, a fight to become all on earth that God has finished in Heaven, we will always be defeated in life.
So many Christians are ignorant of what I just stated above. That is why many of us are defeated. And when we try to fight, we get ourselves engaged in a bad fight of faith.
Yes, like I have always taught, there is a bad fight of faith!
For instance, when you use bottle of Oil instead of the power of the Holy Spirit in prayers, you are engaged in a bad fight of faith.
When you take drinking of Oil as receiving the Holy Spirit, you are engaged in a bad fight of faith. When you think you can use mustard seeds, brooms, mats, and pieces of clothes to defeat the devil permanently, you are engaged in a bad fight of faith.
The God of Heaven and Earth called us into a good fight of faith not a bad fight.
PAUL SAID “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH; LAY HOLD ON ETERNAL LIFE.”
It takes a good fight of faith to lay hold on things in the Spirit and birth them in the natural realm, both in your life and the lives of others. And that fight can only be fought with divine wisdom. That is why the Bible says
“Wisdom is the principal thing. In all your getting, get wisdom get understanding.”
Any Christians who do not operate in divine wisdom and understanding will remain beneath in life. It is when you understand, that you can stand against your enemies. And when you are wise that you can win. You could stand and not win. But when you understand and are wise, you can stand against your enemies and win. Hallelujah!
Understanding make you stand up to challenges of life; it makes you stand against your enemies but wisdom gives you the victory.
I see you not just standing up against your enemies or the battles raging against you, but I see you wining all in Jesus precious name. Start seeking the LORD for His wisdom. Start spending your days asking Him to fill your heart with the Spirit of understanding.
Let me wrap this up by sharing with us one major key to receiving the wisdom that is not from this world. It is called “Sound doctrine.”
The wisdom of God is sound wisdom. It is not demonic or worldly, it is spiritually sound. That is why you will never be able to walk in it without encountering what the Bible calls SOUND DOCTRINE. You will need a preacher or a book loaded with sound doctrine to receive divine wisdom.
You will need to plant yourself in a Church that teaches sound doctrine to become sound in wisdom. If you will have a pastor and a Church that teaches sound doctrine in your walk with God, and spend quality time with the Bible, looking for sound truths about life, you will never lack the wisdom that is from above.
I have come to discover that there are three classes of Christians.
There are the TOTALLY FREE CHRISTIANS whose salvation is based on sound doctrine. These breed are totally free from habitual sins, and do not take God’s mercy or grace for granted. They make use of it to live right before God man. They do not walk in the perverse narrative that says, “all of us are sinners.” They walk in the narrative that says, “sin live in me but I will not live in the sin living in me.”
They operate in sound wisdom, living no place to the devil in their lives.
Then we have THE PARTIALLY FREE Christians. These are the ones whose salvation is not total because of the kind of gospel that brought them into Christianity. For instance, they will stand behind the pulpit to preach or teach, serve as ushers or sing in the Choir, but still respond to the flesh when they feel drawn.
They are not free from the sins they live in them, hence are always found living in it and either crying about it or explaining it away! The Bible says whosoever commit sin is of the Devil. These ones are still of the devil, one way or the other.
This is not about falling into sin but living in sin. Most in this class can take or follow someone to bed even after praying loud prayers in Church, saying it does not matter. They will commit sin and feel nothing about it. You cannot find the sorrow of sin wrecking their hearts after committing sin.
Friend, I have come to discover that when sin no longer matter to you, in just a matter of time, you will become A MATTER in hell. It is foolish to feed on sin and say it does not matter! But these breeds of Christians do not care. They take God’s mercy and grace for granted because their salvation is not based on sound doctrine.
They walk in human wisdom and spiritual foolishness calling it “grace.” You always find them where heresies and false doctrines are taught. They are the ones that devils are always with because they always have food for him in their lives.
IT WAS THIS CLASS OF CHRISTIANS APOSTLE PAUL REBUKED IN ONE OF HIS LETTERS WHEN HE WROTE;
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV
Then we have the third class of Christians who are NOT FREE AT ALL from sin or Satan. They are just traditional. The only difference between them and unbelievers is that they go to Church. This breed is yet to encounter the LORD.
You put them off when you speak about sound doctrine or anything spiritual. They operate in either the wisdom of men or that of devils.
When you tell them about Biblical position of things they will say “keep the Bible aside. This is not Church.” Like I sated earlier; they are not different from the lost sinners out there in spirit.
However, God wants all Christians to be sound in faith. God wants us to operate in sound wisdom. It takes sound doctrine to be sound in faith and operate in sound wisdom.
A major highlight in our devotional text said “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine,” Sadly, we are in that time now. Most prefer following what is working and not what is true.
To some, joining a Church or becoming a Christian is now determined by the financial gains and reward they can get for doing so. We forget that we go to church to be disciple and trained to do the work of God by touching lives positively. We go to Church to contact the power to live a holy life and make Heaven.
But this unsound Christian detests Preachers who teaches sound doctrines, and calls them names. That is why many of us in Church today walk in foolishness and call God “Satan” and Satan “God.”
We can go on and on, but like I always state this is not a book. This is a devotional, and I believe the LORD has shared with you a few things that have added to your wisdom bank.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.”

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15 -16 NKJV
