TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Friday 13TH August 2021)
“Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 225TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
Glory to the Most High God who enabled us to see this day. When we started this year, most of us were expectant of what the LORD prophesied to us; Higher Heights. Indeed, we have seen that prophesy fulfilled in our lives.
For 225 days we have seen His love, Mercy, Goodness and Revelation in higher dimensions. We have seen miracles, signs and wonders in higher dimensions. The greatest of all these is the Higher Heights we gained with the LORD for making disciples of all nations through MCTV GLOBAL.
I never knew that by this day, we will have such heights with the LORD. God will not tell you everything when you are on a journey with Him. He will just tell you some things. You only need to trust Him as the owner of the future.
My faith in God is, He is the owner of the future. I may not know what my future holds, but if I know who holds my future, I will never fail. God will make sure that the things He scheduled and pre-determined to take place in my life in their season, take place as scheduled.
One major challenge we have always had is the challenge of meeting us with divine schedules in life; the challenge of seeing the things that God predetermined to happen in our life happen at appointed times happen in their divinely appointed times. Because of the many battles of life, sin, iniquity and basically ignorance of God, and some other factors, it is not always automatic to fulfill predetermined things in our walk and talk with God.
A man who live his days in the revelation of the word of the LORD will be able to maintain a walk with God. That is why God enables us to bring a word to you daily in this platform day unto day. May you not miss your pre appointed times for blessings and liftings in Jesus precious name. Amen!
IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL WORD, WE WILL BE LOOKING AT THE LAW OF INVOLVEMENT.
This is one major revelation that will help us align with the LORD and see pre-determined blessings manifest in our lives at their appointed times.
Everything God created is anchored on or sustained by laws. These laws can be spiritual or natural. Spiritually, there is a law of involvement. There is also a law of participation. That is why for God to become a father to you, the law requires that you come out of anything unclean. It requires that you don’t get yourself involved with the unclean.
You see, by what Jesus said in John chapter eight, it is clear that God is the creator of everyone but not the father of everyone. Salvation through our LORD and savior Jesus Christ is what makes one a Child of God. Until we are genuinely saved, we are just creatures and sons of the evil one.
For God to become a father to us, we do not just need to recite a sinners’ prayer. We must renounce the sinners’ life by stepping out of anything unclean. When God becomes a father to you, the blessing of the fatherhood of God will begin to flow in your life.
Sadly, many think you just need to recite the sinner’s prayer. For God to become a father to you but the law or principle does not require that you recite the sinner’s prayer only but you come out of anything unclean. Reciting the sinner’s prayer could be a step to coming out.
Another word for the word law is principle. Principles are constant.
They do not change. Nothing can change principles. Not even prayers! Effective prayers do not change principles; they only reveal the principle to respect to have the result you may be looking for through prayer. God says in His word;
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV
Effective fervent prayers will reveal the spiritual or natural principle to apply to get the result you may be looking for in prayers.
AS EARLIER STATED, THERE IS THE PRINCIPLE OR LAW OF PARTICIPATION.
Under the law of participation, what you do not involve yourself with, will never involve itself with you. For instance, if you do not involve yourself with sin and Satan, none of the consequences will be seen in your life. The world of evil can only be involved in your life, if you, one way or the other, get yourself involved in it.
On the positive side, if you get yourself involved deeply with God, God will get Himself deeply involved with you. Psalm 91 is very clear on that. It shows that People who get deeply involved with God, will be satisfied with long life, divine health, wisdom, revelation, protection, prosperity and peace.
People who get deeply involved with God may walk through the valley of the shadow of death but will never fall into the hands of death. A thousand may fall by their right hand and ten thousand by their left, but it will not come near them. Only with their eyes will they behold the reward of the wicked.
Friend, we are living in critical seasons. It will require that we separate ourselves from any preaching, Church, ministry, lifestyle, dimension of faith or anointing that is shallow rooted or corrupt. If you are not deeply rooted these seasons, you will be uprooted from your blessed places by very little things.
Yes, you could be uprooted from your marriage, business, ministry, and even walk with God, career, or success place. It is the deeply rooted in the kingdom that will experience the best of God these seasons. The earth is becoming hot daily, making life unbearable for the shallow rooted. Only the deeply rooted will survive; the deeply rooted in Christ.
The question now is how do we get deeply rooted in Christ?
You get deeply rooted by getting deeply involved with God the Holy Spirit. How do we get deeply involved with God the Holy Spirit? Our devotional text has the answer. It says come out from among them – separate from the unclean.
DO NOT GET YOURSELF INVOLVED WITH UNCLEAN THINGS.
God the Holy Spirit, do not like sharing us with unclean things. He will not share us with secret sins like masturbation, or any other sinful sexual craving or sexual immoral act. He will share us with iniquity, trespass or any other act of lawlessness most of us commit privately and appear as saints publicly.
You see, because of our distorted view of God’s grace, so many believers are living in their old sinful ways. They have been deceived to think that once you are saved (that is once you have recited the sinners’ prayer), you will make Heaven irrespective if how you live.
Someone who was caught in homosexual sin shared with something that shook me yesterday. He said he attended a Bible School here in Kenya and while writing the exams, he did not answer the questions because that was not his problem. His problem was how to stop homosexuality and all other forms of sexual sins he is committing. So he decided to write that on his answer sheet.
When the preacher got the sheet, he called him publicly before everyone to say, “You do not need to worry about that. If you die now, you will make Heaven. That cannot hinder you because you are saved….”. Then I wondered what it means to be saved.
From scriptures, when you are saved, you are saved form sin, Satan and the evil and corrupt system of this world. Meaning, you will not be living in your old sinful nature again. Sadly, the opposite was being taught to people being prepared for ministry.
Meaning, these so called ministers of the gospel will be sent out to preach a perverted gospel and establish it in the lives of people by living sinful lives, believing Heaven will be their home but speeding to hell and leading others along with them.
They are ignorant of the fact that genuine salvation is sealed by God the Holy Spirit. He is the one who will raise us up on the final day to reign with Christ. If we therefore, live Christian lives that involves itself with abominable acts or any other unclean thing, we will be damned on the final day.
THE BIBLE IS CALLING ON US TO SEPARATE FROM SUCH ABOMINABLE PREACHING AND PREACHERS!
Heaven wants us to understand that God the Holy Spirit, who is the power house of genuine salvation, will not share us with rebellious living, homosexuality, lesbianism, greed and covetousness, adulterous life, evil associations, a gossiping or lying tongue, stubbornness, hatred, deceitful living, or any other unclean thing.
We must use the strength of His grace and truth available to us to come out of them for Him to be a Father or source to us. In other words, for Him to be outsourcing joy, peace, health or healing, economic freedom and prosperity, Holy living, and all that makes this life exciting, from the Throne of God to our lives on earth.
There are so many ways we can do this but one of the most effective ways is to understand the revelation of His jealousy. I encourage us to go listen to the message, “THE IMAGE OF JEALOUSY IN THE HOUSE OF A JEALOUS GOD” again.
You see, the God we serve is a jealous God. To be jealous simply means to be in a state of not tolerating or accepting rivalry. God does not tolerate or accept rivalry. He said beside Him there is no other. In simple terms, there should be no other if you are involved with Him.
He is righteously more jealous than any man or woman you can think of. He did a lot in the nation of Israel, not because of their prayers but because of His jealousy. The Bible testifies of this aspect of His Holy nature. You will see Him breaking into the camp of their enemies to save them and sometimes withdrawing Himself from them whenever He manifest this aspect of His holiness.
It is important that we walk in the revelation of His jealousy. It will keep us clean and help us not to drift away. To get yourself deeply involved with God therefore, you must respect His nature as a Jealous God and be single; you must not join yourself with any other influence.
Our devotional text said;
“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
In the Kingdom, you must come out of something to enter into another. You must come out of sin to enter into righteousness. You must come out of the unclean to enter into the clean. You must come out of anything that provokes God to jealousy to enter into God’s blessings.
Until Israel came out of Egypt, and Egypt came out of them, they could not enter into the promise land. Those who came out of Egypt and Egypt did not come out of them, perished in the wilderness. If you come out of sin and sin did not come out of you, you are till unsaved. If you allow sin to rule your so-called Christian life after your salvation decision, you will miss Heaven.
LET THESE BLESSED WORDS FROM THE LORD THROUGH THE LIPS OF THE SWEET PSALMIST OF ISRAEL BE AN ADDITIONAL CATALYST OF GOD’S GRACE IN OUR LIVES TODAY;
