THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 20th November 2021)

“Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:1-5 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 323RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

We bless the God of Heaven and earth for giving us another day. It’s out of His mercies that we are not consumed. He has counted us worthy to see another day in our month of mercy. This weekend shall be glorious and fulfilling in your life Jesus precious name.

The Bible says we should not fret because of evil doers and we have decided not to. Hallelujah!

It’s being our YEAR OF Higher heights and now Amazing Grace. We have expectations for the season and trust God that they will all turn into manifestations even as we prepare for the monthly Now International Broadcast of the Cry of the Spirit of God on Citizen TV Kenya and MCTV Global. We urge you to join us for a time of Prophetic encounter!

Today we will be looking at the blessing of righteous expectations and related truths.

When God want to do great things among His people, He begins by speaking to them words that create pictures in their spirits and expectations in their hearts. The pictures are called visions and the expectations are called hope.

The vision and hope created becomes part of the motivation for living and pressing into GOD. This is important because of the possibility of failed expectations and dashed hopes. There are people who have left Church because their expectations failed and their hopes was dashed.

Expectations and hopes that are created by what God says do not fail. That is why it’s important that we learn to build our hopes and expectations within God’s will and ways.

If people build their expectations and hopes outside His will and ways, they will wallow in failed expectations and dashed hopes. God will only do what He wants to do, not what we want Him to do. That is why what we want Him to do must align with what He wants to do.

And we should never believe many prophets these days they speak visions of their own hearts based on what they want people to hear and give money to them. They do not really speak what God wants to do.

If we are not aligning with what God wants to do our hopes will be dashed and expectations will fail. The Bible says the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off. The reason is simple; because they line up with His will and ways; they line up with what God wants to do.

IF ANY EXPECTATION DOES NOT LINE UP WITH GOD’S, IT SHALL BE CUT OFF.

In other words, the expectation of the righteous are expectations that falls in line with God’s will and ways; they are visions and hopes built on what God wants to do. That is why they are bound to come to pass. But the expectations of the wicked are expectations that do not fall in line with God’s will or ways.

They are visions and hopes that are not aligned with what God want to do.

Most are aligned with what the flesh, the world or the devil wants to be done. The divine decree over them is that “they shall not come to pass. They shall be cut off.” That is why we must be careful on these matters of expectations and hopes.

The Bible says,

“For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.” Proverbs 2:21-22 NKJV

If God does not allow the wicked to take root on earth or remain, how much more their expectations. That is why it’s not safe to build your expectations outside His perfect will for your life, or outside what He may be doing.

That brings me to the present madness of the prophets. What prophets and prophetesses are doing these days is very dangerous to the eternal lives of people. The Bible says;

“They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD!’ But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, ‘The LORD says,’ but I have not spoken.”

Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: “Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you,” says the Lord GOD.

“My hand will be against the prophets who envision futility and who divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 13:6-9 NKJV

This scripture describes what many so called prophets and prophetesses are doing to people today. How they envision nonsense and make people trust in the nonsense and have their hopes dashed and expectations cut off.

THEY MAKE THEIR LIVES WORTHLESS BY MAKING THEM TRUST IN NONSENSE!

God lamented and said they have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD!’ But He has not sent them; yet they hope or expect that the word may be confirmed. They make those who listen to them build expectations on things that are rooted in their greed and covetousness.

When one fails they bring one reason why, sometimes citing they ones they manipulate to come to pass, and making the people do more stupid things; then they bring another prophecy to them; and it continuous that way until the people get fed up with God who will not do what He said, while God has not really spoken to them.

The days are dangerous my friend. It has become very dangerous to believe whatever people behind the pulpit prophesy to you, especially when they lack the authority in the spirit or when they are money controlled.

You must understand that any preacher who only becomes high in spirit after people have given an offering or sacrifice to their ministries do not operate from Heaven. They operate from the realm of the flesh. Whatever may be prophesied to you under their stir will not be from Heaven. It will be from the fountain of greed and covetousness.

So when expectations for the year are built on such prophecies, and you go through the year with them, your faith will crash because nothing will come to pass.

For instance, there are Churches today whose pastors have told their members that they will get married, get jobs, or see some other forms of personal expectations come to pass before the end of the year. Simply because they gave some money or satisfied the preachers, one way or the other.

OTHERS HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SAME SPIRITUAL LEADERS HOW THEY WILL HAVE GREAT FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH BEFORE THE END OF A TIME THEY SET.

Sadly, the countless who have been made (by this money controlled and carnality inspired spiritual leaders and prophetic people) to build their expectations outside divine will and ways will just crash.

I have heard how Scriptures have been misinterpreted and false or demonic inspired prophetic similitude used, to coerce innocent souls to believe that some things (that God knows will never happen) will come to pass in their lives before the end of the year 2021.

Friend, there is going to be a massive crash in the faith of many by January 2022, that is why you must save yourself today by aligning with God’s will and ways so that your faith will not crash because of failed hopes and expectations that God never authored.

I see Heaven defeating prophetic lies and rescuing the sheep of the LORD from the satanic snares they take as fellowships, Churches, prophetic or deliverance ministries. Jesus Christ is allowing that to happen so that false prophets and polluted prophetic anointing can be exposed and their victims delivered.

He wants them to learn that until expectations are built on His will and ways, they will never come to pass.

There is no place in the Bible where a man took his carnal expectation to God through prayer, fasting or sacrificial giving to a so called preacher and then God rubber stamps it with a miracle. None! Indeed, our devotional text today screams “no” to that. A major Highlight in it says,

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:3-4 NKJV

Sadly, when people quote or preach from this scripture, they forget the first parts and just log on to the lasts sentence that says “He shall give you the desires of your heart.

AND THAT IS THE SENTENCE UPON WHICH EVERY FAILED EXPECTATION IN CHURCH TODAY IS BUILT.

We forget that the heart of a man that has not been processed and filled with the Holy Spirit is desperately wicked. God does not grant the desires of such a heart.

And when the Bible says “He shall give you the desires of your heart” it does not mean God will grant us whatever we desire or fulfill whatever we expect that He fulfill. It simple means, if we do everything that precede the “heart desire” sentence in Psalm 37:1-5 (trusting in the LORD, doing good, dwelling in the land or place of His will for our lives, feeding on God’s faithfulness, and delighting ourselves in Him) the Spirit of the LORD in us will shape what our hearts should desire and align it with God’s will, consequently making it possible for us to desire things that God really want to do.

In other words, God will grant us what our hearts should desire.

It is the desires He grants our hearts to desire that will be granted, not the ones we conceive by ourselves. I hope you understand me! Expectations must therefore be built on what He grants our hearts to desire.

The last part of our devotional text says “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” This is not referring to our “own carnal ways” but the very ways and plans of the LORD that we have adopted and made our ways and plans. Those are the ways and plans to commit to the LORD in prayer if we want our expectations to come to pass.

So from all these scriptures, it’s clear that God does not want man to be seen anywhere in the chain of hopes and expectations, because man was not originally outsourced from man. Man was outsourced from God. So everything must be outsourced form God.

In other words, God wants God to be seen in man. He does not want man to be seen in man. He never designed that to happen, hence will not design that our carnal expectations be fulfilled. He only designed that expectations built on what He wants done (that are granted to our hearts to desire) be fulfilled.

So if any of your 2021 expectations was not built on desires granted your heart by God’s Spirit to desire, but on some things some prophets or prophetesses prophesied to you, bury it now before you crash by 31st December. God takes delight in fulfilling our expectations but they must be in tune or line with His will and ways.

As you embrace this glorious weekend, chew on God’s word, let Heaven’s glow beam in your spirit. Let your heart react and push away anything that does not fall in line with God’s will and ways for your life, in Jesus precious name! AMEN!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret — it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more.

But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword.” Psalms 37:7-14 NKJV
