TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 25TH AUGUST 2022)
“Then the LORD said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria.
Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.
It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.
Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:15-18 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 237TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF AMAZING GRACE!
Seconds have turned into minutes, minutes into hours, hours into days, days into weeks, and weeks into months since we stepped into this year. We are on the number eight month of the year, and before you know it, we will be saying “Happy New Year.”
The book of psalms chapter ninety-one tells us that there are snares of the fowlers, there are terrors that walk by night and arrows that flies by day. These things characterized our years and if God did not protect someone from them, they could take one out.
Indeed, a lot has happened that would have taken us out, but our God has kept us. He has made it a year of amazing grace indeed.
To Him belong all the glory!
We have been on a 31-Day journey of faith with the Cry of the Holy Spirit on spiritual fathering.
God have been unearthing major truths to us and showering us with revelation knowledge on the subject.
I know a 31-day trip may not be enough for covering all aspects of this important kingdom concept, I believe the aspects the LORD will enable us to cover will be enough to help us get back to the original pattern established in the Garden of Eden.
There are great destinies that have been raised by the accurate pattern of spiritual fathering in scriptures. We are going to examine one pattern in our devotional today, and maybe see others as the days goes by.
We will begin with the most common of them all, the Elijah fathering system.
The Elijah fathering system or pattern is one that will be prominent today because of certain prophecies God made about eliminating Baal in our days. I want to submit to you that there is a second coming of the prophets of Baal and it is important that we understand what God is up to.
To start with, it is important to note that the Elijah fathering system has been hijacked by many today and turned into an oppressive, manipulative and destructive fathering system by many preachers. The reason is the purpose of the system.
THE PURPOSE IS TO ESTABLISH A FATHER-SON SPIRITUAL MOVEMENT THAT WILL DEAL WITH BAAL WORSHIP IN THE PRESENT CHURCH.
Sadly, what Satan has done in many churches is use it to establish Baal worship in major departments of the end time Church instead. From how it was initiated, it is clear that the system is one major system that Satan fears most hence hijacking it to establish what it was initiated to eliminate.
But how was it initiates by the LORD?
You see, Elijah had battled Baal all his life and was at the verge of what looked like an emotional breakdown (because of the pressure of the battle) when GOD called him into fathering.
That alone tell us, one of the most effective ways to deal with frustrations in ministry as a righteous spiritual father, especially one whose assignment is to neutralize Baal worship, is to raise sons.
Our devotional text says;
“Then the LORD said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria.

It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.

You See the divine strategy for vanquishing Baal in this scripture? In every generation it remains the same. Killing its prophets is just a phase. The mount Carmel show down is just one of the phases in God’s plans to deal with Baal in every generation; it is like cutting off one of the heads or horns. The other head is Jezebel herself.
The phase of completely wiping it away was designed to be in the hands of sons who will be raised through a spiritual fathering that evolves around the tree of life.
As you can see in our text, Elijah was asked to raise three people (who will be his spiritual sons or an extension of the heritage the LORD has given him) to deal with Baal in other to completely wipe it away. Those sons are apostolic templates today.
WE HAVE THE JEHU TEMPLATE, THE HAZAEL TEMPLATE AND THE ELISHA TEMPLATES.
These templates, if fully established in the present Church, will wipe away Baal worship in the church, because God said; “It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.”
A spiritual sonship raised by a fathering system build around the tree of life will recognize and deal with Baal worship, wiping it completely from the hearts of God’s seekers.
Now, why was it that Elijah got to the place of near emotional break down in His days?
You see, Baal is not something you can handle cheaply because of how seductive, compelling and impactful the system is. Baal knows how to get even the best of Zion to be on its side.
People do not know that there is a lot of Baal worship in Church today and the best of Zion are being used to promote it by making it look GOD in their sight. The purpose is to keep souls damned by pledging their allegiance to it.
You see even those who were supposed to be prophets and apostles of Jesus Christ romancing it.
In the days of Elijah, the demonic force of Baal was able to either silence the prophets of GOD by getting them into hiding, or converting them to become prophets of Baal. The only one who decided not to be silenced or go into hiding was Elijah.
Because the system has the ability to bless people with prosperity and deliverance, making it possible for anyone who move against it to be seen as God’s enemy those prophets could not stand the onslaught. That is why most prophets and apostle of today who know what Baal is will not touch it. They are afraid.
THEY WILL RATHER HIDE UNDER CERTAIN THINGS AND SAY JUST FEW THINGS AGAINST IT BUT ROMANCE IT SECRETLY.
They do not want to be seen by the segment of the Church under Baal as the enemy of God. Do not forget, Elijah was seen as the enemy of GOD by the people of God who have taken prosperity and deliverance as exclusive deliveries of God’s kingdom. Baal worship offers prosperity and deliverance as its rewards. That’s why people are involved in it.
Like our generation, that generation did not know that Satan can also make one prosper and bring deliverance. The Bible calls it lying wonders. They did not know that Satan will do a good thing as a smoke screen to execute or protect his agenda.
If you look at the Elijah story, you will discover that it was frustrating for him to see prophets who were once with God walking away from Him because of what the LORD commanded him to do to stop Baal worship.
It had stolen the minds of men masquerading itself as the worship of the one and only true GOD. It was frustrating for Elijah to see Ahab who he had just helped, pit tent with Jezebel again instead of stopping her.
The Bible says;
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” 1 Kings 19:4 NKJV
One thing that Baal know how to do to prophets of GOD who are fully armed against its activities is to seek to isolate them. He know how to make them feel they are alone.
Baal know how to make people withdraw from them and make sure they feel alone. Because Baal knows it is not good for a man to be alone or feel alone, hence making sure they are either alone or they feel alone.
He does this by making them appear bad to all under its influence.
AND THIS HAS ALWAYS WORKED FOR BAAL SINCE PEOPLE EXPERIENCE DELIVERANCE AND PROSPERITY UNDER IT.
The people take the deliverance and prosperity they may be experiencing as proofs that the prophets and apostles of Baal are of God and that Elijah is not. This has always been the trend in every generation.
But it has not worked at the long run because every generation has seen God perform a major prophecy from the Throne Room. That Prophecy says;
“And it shall be, in that day,” Says the LORD, “That you will call Me ‘My Husband,’ And no longer call Me ‘My Master,’
For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more.
In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, With the birds of the air, And with the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, to make them lie down safely.
“I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the LORD.” Hosea 2:16-20 NKJV
We are right in the season of the performance of this prophecy in our own day. We are right in the day where God will cut of Baal from our lips and betrothed the Church to Himself forever.
It will lead to the termination of the use of oil, water, sand, soil, salt and all kinds of gadgets in prayers. It will bring the lies preachers tell and the demonstration of the doctrine of devils they call mysteries and prophetic acts to an end.
When that happens, each individual member of the body will no longer see God as a master but a husband.
Meaning, every distance that exits between believers and Christ will be eliminated. He will betroth everyone to Himself forever in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy and in faithfulness. And everyone will know or have intimate knowledge of the LORD.
But Baal will not let that happen. It will fight back. That is why an army is rising. You must prepare for battle and join the army. You must locate a spiritual fathering system built to execute the prophecy and align with it.
You have a place in this army, and no one can take your place. You have a post, yes you do. No one can take your post.
It does no matter what you have gone through or may be going through, you have a post. You could be an Elisha, a Jehu or an Hazael. You only need to spot an Elijah system and go plant your self there. Jesus is waiting for you in that system to mold and make you what He wants you to be.
May the LORD use these words to stir you to turn in the direction of His will for your life. In Jesus precious name. Amen

“Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ”
Assemble and come, all you nations, And gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD.
“Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, the vats overflow— For their wickedness is great.” Joel 3:10-13 NKJV
