TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 21ST JULY 2023)
“Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the peoples labor to feed the fire, and nations weary themselves in vain? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” Habakkuk 2:13-14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 202ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
God has been so good to us; first He has kept us alive. Sometimes I hear people say to others, most times out of care and concern, “Stay alive.” But none can stay alive. Only God can keep someone alive, and He has kept us alive. We owe Him thanks.
During the coronavirus season, one major word I always receive from some I meet is, “Keep safe.” Friend none can keep himself safe from a virus except GOD is involved. There were people who respected all the disease control rules during that period, who still died.
The import of this is, you and I cannot stay alive on our own, and none of us can keep ourselves safe. Only God does all that for us. The Bible says;
“Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.” Psalm 127:1-2 NKJV
God did not create a human life that can stay alive and keep itself safe without Him. If you see anyone that seems so, it is walking and living in pride, arrogance, and ignorance.
It is saddening how our world tries to remove GOD from the center of its activities. That is why people are dying like chickens, and diseases that GOD can heal without blinking an eye, are killing so many.
One of the major diseases that GOD can heal without blinking an eye is cancer. Do you know how many people have been taken out of this world by cancer?
There are people who will not survive the next few weeks, a few months, or a few years ahead of them because of cancer, or any other disease that God has a history of healing. But they will still die because they do not know Him, or His power. Some do not desire anything about Him at all. They just surround themselves with doctors and forget the one who even gives breath to the doctors to be alive.
There are those who even blame God for their problems. Some even hate Him. That is why our world is in crisis. You can never see God do what only He can do in your life, if you hate Him, do not serve Him, or serve a counterfeit of Him.
The reason for all these, and some other forms of destruction mankind is experiencing, is because the enemy, and the human nature has filled the earth with the knowledge of so many things other than the knowledge of the glory of the LORD.
There is the knowledge of sexual pleasure littered everywhere, and how to start and end sexual relationships all over. There is the knowledge that breeds violence, wars, and conflicts even in marriages. Most homes today are not at peace because of such knowledge.
THERE IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO EVEN BE A TERRORIST.
There is the knowledge of how to succeed in life without involving God. There are other forms of knowledge people learn in schools, ivory towers, and all kinds of institutions that shape their lives terribly and make them hell on earth. The Bible says knowledge shall increase and men will run to and fro.
There is so much knowledge on our Earth today outside the very knowledge God designed our world to be filled with.
The advent of the internet, then the social media, has increased the flow of the kind of knowledge God never designed our world to be filled with.
There is virtually nothing you want to know that you cannot get on the internet. The world has been filled by so much knowledge but not the knowledge of the glory of the LORD. That is why we have so many problems that cannot be solved despite what we now know.
We forget that it was a crave for knowledge outside the knowledge of the glory of the LORD that led to the fall of man. And that if our lives are destroyed, they are destroyed because they are controlled by a knowledge that God never designed that we have.
Yes, there is a knowledge that God never designed that mankind have. Sadly, like the enemy did to Eve, that is what Satan always present mankind with. The Bible says;
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” Genesis 3:4-7 NKJV
THE ENEMY KNEW THEY WERE ALREADY LIKE GOD AND THAT THEIR EYES WERE NOT BLIND.
He knew they already had the knowledge dimension God wanted them to have, and by that were superior to him and his entire kingdom, and were in dominion over the entire creation. He knew by what they already knew and have, he had no place in God’s creation because they were in charge.
But He deceived the woman to think otherwise, and to crave for another dimension outside the God dimension they already had. That was the problem. Today our world is under his sway and all kinds of evil.
The enemy will always bring a knowledge dimension outside the God dimension we already have in the Bible. That is why we have heresies even in church and witchcraft in deliverance ministries.
The preachers bring knowledge dimensions outside the knowledge of Christ. They talk about things Jesus never emphasized on. They talk about missing stars, missing destinies, and all kinds of sacrifices and giving one must do to get this or that from God.
They talk about this demon, and that demon, this altar and that altar and all that, exposing hearts to dimensions outside the Christ dimension we already have in the covenant of grace.
There is knowledge God never designed that mankind have. Whenever you tap into that knowledge, you will walk away from the God dimension and enter the Satan dimension, leading to all kinds of ungodly, sinful, satanic, and demonic things in your life. Pornography for example, exposes one to the Satan dimension.
That is why it plagues one with an insatiable desire for sex outside the boundaries the LORD has set. Betting brings you into a dimension of the system of this world, ruled by Satan himself. Sadly, some preachers today encourage people to watch porn and to bet.
SO MANY YOUTHS ARE CONTROLLED BY STRANGE CRAVINGS AND ALL KINDS OF INFLUENCES FOR TAPPING INTO DIMENSIONS OUTSIDE THE CHRIST DIMENSION.
The social media and the internet have exposed them to knowledge dimensions outside the knowledge of Christ – the very dimension they need. The solution to all these things still lies in going back to what God designed for us. The knowledge He designed that we have; the Knowledge of His glory!
Do not forget, God did not create Earth to be filled with the knowledge of any other thing other than the knowledge of His glory. Christ is the glory of the LORD revealed and it is the knowledge of Him, in His fullness, that must fill our hearts.
That is why the great commission is about making people disciples of Christ. In other words, eternal students or learners of Christ, because even in the age to come He will remain the knowledge to pursue eternally.
From the point of view of the great commission, successfully gospel ministers and ministries, are those who make everyone take their seats at the feet of Christ, with the Bible in their hands, to learn His ways and to walk in His paths.
Prophetically, we are in the days of the washing of the Church from every spot of wrinkles; that includes every knowledge dimension that was not originally delivered to the saints. We are in the days of the emergence of the glorious Church (not the rich, famous but godless church).
The washing is not by natural water. It’s not by holy water. It’s by the revelation of God’s word, washing out lives and refreshing our souls like water.
The days of glory are indeed here. When we say glory, we are referring to the fullness of God on display. And Jesus is that fullness. The days of glory are days of limiting yourself to the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, the Knowledge of Christ. Our devotional text says;
“Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the peoples labor to feed the fire, and nations weary themselves in vain? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” Habakkuk 2:13-14 NKJV
Indeed, it is not the will of God that we labor to feed the FIRE of hell at the end of our lives, like many who are dead are presently doing in the afterlife.
It is not His will that we suffer in sin, or grow rich with the prosperity of the wicked while we are in this life. His will is that we enjoy rest on every side, and only have the challenge of doing his will in a wicked world. The rest will manifest as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Leading to a flow of divine peace, divine progress, divine favor, a life of purity and holiness, and a lot more.
Genuine prophetic flow will unveil Christ to us and connect us to that rest. That is why genuine prophetic flow is usually scriptural based and scripturally cooked. That is what connects us to the knowledge of the Glory of the LORD.
The Church today is in dire need of that knowledge. Our prophets and prophetesses today are lesbians and sex addicts. So many believers are masturbators and liars. So much is being done under a demonic anointing.
So many Christians who claim to be moving in the prophetic are terrible. Too many are now filled with capacity to seduce men and women into sexual infidelity. Too many now lie like the devil. Too many of us now practice all kinds of secret sins calling it weaknesses.
Too many no longer seek God but use Him to seek other things. Too many now steal messages from genuine apostles and prophets of God to preach and sound true to the naive. Too many are money and fame driven. Too many now have a stronger love for money and pleasure instead of God.
All these developments are products of the Satan dimension, that what is being taught and preached in our churches, has brought upon the people.
We need the knowledge of the glory of the LORD. Time to make the knowledge of the glory of the LORD your only desire as a Christian. Time to make it what you look for.
It is my prayer that we wake up and walk away from these dimensions that we have brought upon ourselves, and begin to seek the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, so that we will have the foundation of the LORD in our lives, abide in the Christ dimension, and live our lives as vessels of honor unto the LORD.
