TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 31st October 2023)
DEVOTIONAL TEXT:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.” Psalms 32:8-10 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 304TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
It’s the last day of the 10th Month of the year, according to the Gregorian calendar. We learnt a lot from the LORD this month. So much from the Holy Scriptures was revealed to us, both on this and other platforms or vision outlets of the Cry of the Spirit ministry.
If you are wondering why the LORD poured so much in our lives this month, maybe what the number ten represent in Biblical numerology will help us understand why.
The number ten represents test, trial, or temptation. I believe God fed us that way to fortify us in our year of impact. To fortify us to stand the tests and trials of faith that might come our ways, since we live in an imperfect world, and not give in to any temptation.
I think I need to say something about biblical or prophetic numerology. I grew up in the charismatic church seeing prophets and other seemingly anointed people using what I now know as biblical or prophetic numerology to collect money from people.
To their sensibility, the numbers are just for money collection and other forms of spiritual manipulations.
The will say, seven is the number of completion or perfection. The LORD is saying you should give 7000 or 700,000, or 7,000,000 or anything with the number seven for your deliverance, marriage or etc. to be complete or made perfect. That is stealing in the name of GOD.
Sadly, these covetous and greedy preachers, use these Bible numbers, to request for money, thereby perverting the minds of people from coming to the revelation of what God actually buried in the numbers.
A part of our devotional text this morning says, God will instruct and teach us in the way we should go. To walk with this invisible God, you must understand how He does that. He does it by speaking in colors, in numbers, in sight, and in sound, standing on the precepts of the Holy Scriptures (the Bible) known as the testimony of Jesus Christ.
He instructs and teach in so many other Bible ways. But once the minds of men are corrupt, they will no longer perceive what He is teaching or instructing.
THEY WILL RATHER CONCEIVE WHAT HE IS NOT TEACHING OR INSTRUCTING AS WHAT HE IS TEACHING OR INSTRUCTING.
I want us to understand that, one of the many reasons why we have this kind of perversion of the ways and word of the LORD by the greedy preachers in church, is to pervert the hearts and minds of people. Once people’s hearts and minds are perverted, they can no longer come to the knowledge of the truth. Anything that is accurate, will be resisted by them.
That is why the ministry of greedy preachers is very dangerous.
To walk with the LORD this end time therefore, will require that the Bible be taught to you, by an accurate preacher of the word, while you are planted in a good church, where the revelation God hid in colors, numbers, sight and sound of His word, the Bible, is at your fingertips.
We are in days of making God’s footsteps our pathways.
So, if you have a good teacher of the word as a pastor, and you are in a good church, it will help you discern His footsteps, and make them your pathways, because the horrors of the last days, are bound to consume any people who do not know how to make God’s footsteps their pathways.
Talking about making God’s footsteps your path ways, I want you to understand that those who do not, will actually miss their way in life.
For instance, they will miss the way that leads to a peaceful marriage, and end up in a chain of trouble marriages. They will miss the way that leads to a blessed life, and end up living an accursed life. Yes, they will miss the way that leads to a peaceful and fulfilled life on this side of eternity, and end up with a crisis filled life, where no good thing happens.
WHEN YOU MISS YOUR WAY IN LIFE, MISERY WILL BECOME YOUR COMPANION AND SIN YOUR LIFESTYLE.
In fact, sin will become your norm, and righteousness old fashion to you. You will become hardened, and when that happens, things that are good will be withheld from you, and your life *(land in scriptures)*will no longer yield God’s increase. It will rather be yielding the reward and sorrows of your bad decision.
The Bible says;
“Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.” Psalms 85:12-13 NKJV
Friend, if you may miss anything in life, please do not miss your way in the wild of this wicked world.
Learn to make God’s footsteps your pathways. Get a preacher with the depth of the word to make that happen to you, and sit under Him. Get planted in his or her ministry.
The best Christian life is lived when we make God’s footsteps our pathways.
When you make God’s footsteps your path ways, it will make any direction you take in life or decision you make accurate, because you will be going in God’s direction; the direction of His pre-determined will and plans for your life.
Do not forget, the best of our lives is hidden in God’s plans for them. Decisions that are influenced by His footsteps that you have made your path ways, will unlock the prosperity He buried in His plans for your life.
Now, talking about decisions, I want you to understand that, today is the last day of the month. You might need to sit down, and reason about the decisions you took this month, and the ones you need to make in the new month to better your life.
Understand that your decisions will make the greatest impact on your life than anything else, and that if there is anything you must give double attention to, is your decision-making process.
Always remember that, our lives today, are products of the accumulated decisions and choices we made yesterday.
Our decisions are the reason for our current state of life, either good or bad. in other words, if you are 60, 50, 40, 30, or 20 years, whatever your life is right now, is a product of the decisions and choices you have made for all those years. So, sit down and decide for next month.
PERSONALLY, I HAVE MADE DECISIONS AND CHOICES FOR OVER 47 YEARS.
Some were good, most were bad. My life today, either good or bad, is a product of all the decisions and choices I made all the years. While I thank God for helping me through the good choices and decisions I made, and for bringing me where I am now, I am not satisfied.
Yes, I am not satisfied but I am very grateful to GOD.
If you are wondering why I am not satisfied, here is the reason. I am not satisfied with the results of the accumulated bad decisions and choices I made that I see daily in my life. But I thank God for the grace to carry on despite their existence.
Understand that, none of us will ever be able to wipe away all of the cost of our bad decisions and choices on us. We would have to learn to live with most of them, for Heaven’s sake.
The import of this is, we should all know how powerful our decisions are, and how we can change the next course of our lives with them. We should know how we can render angels and God’s grace in our lives inactive with our bad decisions.
For many of us, if we know what we know now, we would not have made the decisions and choices we made then. That brings us to the necessity of time, patience, wisdom and knowledge to making good decisions and choices.
Our decisions and life choices should be guided by time, patience, wisdom and knowledge for them to be a blessing in our lives.
Sometimes, we may need to speak with three kinds of people to be able to make proper decisions. We might need to speak with those above us, those at our level, and those beneath us to be able to make a decision or choice that will help us.
Someone may say, “those beneath me?” Yes, that man or woman beneath you, could be seeing what you cannot see.
So, do not despise him or her. Give them the freedom to say what you might not even like, or what you might not even take because of where they are in life. They may end up speaking what you truly need to hear to come out with a better decision or choice.
NAAMAN MADE THE DECISION THAT HEALED HIM BY HEARING FROM SOMEONE BENEATH HIM; THE SLAVE GIRL.
That is why people who are proud, and arrogant, people who despise those beneath them, do not last at the top.
Permit me to warn that when making decisions or life choices, we should not be guided by our ego, emotions or feelings. We should be guided by reason; a reason created in us by time, patience, and good judgment that came from listening, or wisdom and knowledge that came from the Spirit of God.
People who make decisions and choices in life, based on what they feel, will always end up in sin, sorrow or torment.
One day David made a decision based on what he felt instead of reasoning, and ended up sleeping with another man’s wife, and then killing her husband to cover up. Decisions and choices based on feelings, will always breed sin, sorrow, and life torments.
Every sin we have ever committed, every wrong marriage you see people in, every wrong economic life you see people live in, and every wrong person we find in our life, are all products of decisions or choices made based on feelings not reason.
To make decisions based on reason we must possess wisdom and knowledge from the LORD. We must allow what He has taught and instructed us in, to guide our reason while making decisions and life choices.
We must not allow our feelings overwhelm our reason. When our feelings overwhelm our reason, decisions and choices that breeds disaster, destruction or ruin will be coming out of us.
Someone must conquer this tendency of making decisions and choices based on feelings. That is the word of the LORD for the day! May it guide us into the new month!! Amen!!!
