TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 5TH JANUARY 2024)
“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? Matthew 12:25-26 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 5TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
The number five reminds me of God’s grace and the fifth prophetic day of God; the day of trumpets.
In the Old Testament there was a feast celebrated as the day of trumpet. It was a day of blowing trumpets. But today the day of trumpet in the most holy place is a person. His name is Jesus Christ. But in the outer court, it is the day of the sound of the prophetic word.
In other words, the season God set aside to save men and women from sin, Satan, and the evil and corrupt systems of this world, through the preaching of the gospel or teaching of sound doctrine.
The Bible pointed out the very season we find ourselves as the season for the trumpets.
This season will be terminated by another kind of day of trumpet, which will be the day of the rapture of the saints when the last trumpet will sound and the day of the release of the trumpets of judgment prepared for the dark age that will emerge after the rapture.
All these have been taught over and over in the apostolic center of the Cry of the Spirit Ministries Nairobi Kenya.
Today, we want to look at the day of trumpet as the day of the sound of the prophetic word.
One major thing that we get, when the prophetic word sounds, is divine wisdom!
DIVINE WISDOM IS THE GREATEST NEED OF MANKIND.
The Bible says wisdom is the principal thing. In all your getting, get wisdom and get understanding. When we operate in wisdom, we win. When we operate with understanding, we stand out.
Friend, no matter how prayerful we are, if we lack wisdom, our prayers will only make us miserable praying men and women.
Have you ever seen people who are very prayerful but are also full of miseries?
The reason for that kind of life is because they pray, but do not work in wisdom. That even brings the kind of prayers they pray into question, because right prayers will always result in sound wisdom.
Prayer gets God working, especially in the Spirit realm. But wisdom gets what He may have worked or created in the Spirit realm born in our lives. In other words, wisdom is the key to collecting answers to prayers.
I know many have set their hearts to seek the LORD this January, as they prepare for the new year. But I want to submit to you that right prayer makes things happen in the invisible realm. But Heavenly wisdom let them happen in the natural realm.
I have come to discover that people who pray right and walk in Heavenly wisdom, celebrate great answers to their prayers. But those who pray and fast but do not care about seeking knowledge, suffer so much despite their prayers.
You must delete your name from the list of suffering and very prayerful men and women, whose prayers are doing nothing to change their lives.
If you pray effectively it will make things happen. But without wisdom you will hinder what prayer has made happen in the Spirit’s realm, from happening in your life. That is why most prayerful people are less than dust and afflicted.
They lack the divine wisdom to allow the results of their prayers to speak in their lives!
It’s therefore important, that you add divine wisdom as one of your pursuit this year by giving zero tolerance to ignorance! Make sure you do not ignore the knowledge of God, pursue it from right channels and let God make and keep you wise this year.
THE BIBLE SAYS COME LET US PURSUE THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD (HOSEA 6:3).
If we add the pursuit of the knowledge of God to our prayer lives, we will operate in divine wisdom, and get better results in prayer. It is important that we understand this and not keep praying and fasting without pursuing the knowledge of God on the different aspect of our lives.
Divine wisdom is so important in life that as soon as you come into Christ, He will become the wisdom of God in you.
People who neglect divine wisdom or do not pursue the knowledge of God until they become wise, will have so much to contend with in life. It is divine wisdom that will eliminate all that is not God’s will for your life, neutralize evil forces up against you, and help you move things that have never moved in your life before.
That is why God gives us divine wisdom when we engage in right prayers!
Divine wisdom will eliminate stagnancy and help you travel faster in life. The greatest problem of mankind therefore, is not their problems but lack of divine wisdom.
Now, there are two aspects of divine wisdom, because there are two shades of life. The two shades of life are the spiritual life and the natural life. The spiritual is full of things that are subjective and the natural is full of things that are objective.
You do not handle things in the two shades of life the same way! You handle things in the natural shade objectively and things in the spiritual subjectively. There is therefore, divine wisdom for dealing with things objectively. That is the wisdom for handling practical problems.
For instance, when you feel sick, go see a doctor not a prophet. On the other hand, if you want to be guided on How to hear God for yourself in life, do not go see a doctor. Go see a teaching apostle or prophet. That is practical wisdom.
BUT MOST PEOPLE LOOK FOR SPIRITUAL PEOPLE INSTEAD OF MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS WHEN THEY ARE SICK, CONSEQUENTLY DYING FOR BEING STUPID.
You only see a spiritual man or woman who will help you pray, according to scriptures, either when you are on your way to seeing the doctor, or after you have seen the doctor. That is practical wisdom.
A good preacher will help you know God, and unleash the power of God into your life, and in case you become sick, a good doctor will help you get healed. I have seen the power of God work with doctor’s treatment to heal people of diseases.
That is how to apply wisdom in dealing with diseases.
Do not forget that for a living Child of God, most diseases he or she will face will not be spiritual attacks but health attacks. That brings us to the next shade of divine wisdom; the divine wisdom for dealing with things subjectively.
That is the wisdom for dealing with spiritual problems.
With practical wisdom from God we deal with the natural objectively, and with spiritual wisdom from God we deal with the spiritual subjectively. I hope you understand me.
Since the spiritual is the birthplace of the natural, I want you to understand that the application of God’s wisdom in solving spiritual problem is one of the keys that will help you this year.
Our devotional text today holds one of the most ancient wisdom of God for dealing with spiritual problems. A major highlight from the text says, “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?”
Now we all know that the kingdom of Satan is not divided against itself, and cannot be, because darkness will always align with darkness.
That is why you hardly see significant divisions in organizations that are not spreading the light of Jesus Christ. For instance, the LGBT community and all who supports it are at peace with each other.
Yes, they are always at peace with each other and you wonder why is the Church fighting itself.
YOU SEE THE CHURCH FIGHTING ITSELF BUT OTHER ORGANIZATIONS JUST WATCHING, AND YOU WONDER SHOULD THE CHURCH FIGHT ITSELF.
Yes, when darkness enters the church, the part of the Church that is light will fight it, and those who do not understand will think the church is fighting itself. But the church is not fighting itself; the church is actually purging itself.
The reason for all that is because, the Church is not designed to be a dwelling place of any form of darkness, either small or huge.
That is why it seems like preachers or churches are fighting themselves while organized cartels of darkness and etc. are at peace with each other.
The kingdom of Satan cannot be divided against itself because there is perfect harmony among darkness, just as there is perfect harmony among light also.
If you see disharmony among light, it is because the light is mixed with darkness, and if you see same among darkness, it is because the darkness is mixed with light.
Perfect light, or perfect darkness are always in harmony among themselves. So, when we look at the text therefore, we can conclude that “Satan cannot cast out Satan.”
In dealing with spiritual problems therefore, we must understand this wisdom from the Ancient of Days Himself. Do not be satanic and try to deal with things that are satanic. It will never work. It will only harm you terribly!
