TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY 2024)
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
“Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.” Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 35TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
Yes, it is another glorious day from the LORD; a Sunday to gather corporately at the feet of Christ, to learn of Him and worship. I believe that is God’s way of helping us to start a fresh week.
It has been like that from year to year, in the lives of those who call upon the name of the LORD and are blessed to be part of local churches that belong to the true Church on the face of the earth.
Today we are continuing with the special apostolic and prophetic refreshing on what our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled.
Let me begin with some highlights of God’s system of divine communication. The kingdom of Heaven carries out its activities on earth as the kingdom of God through divine communication systems.
God’s communication system has tongues and languages we must come into, as His sons. For instance, there are tongues of men and angels, and there are languages of the Spirit. Dreams and visions are the language of the Spirit.
In other words, God speaks in tongues of men and angels and in dreams and visions. He also speaks in several other tongues and ways unknown to men.
There are some ways God speaks, that we can simply term as “classified.” The ways I term classified are special ways He used in communicating with men; ways that have never been repeated again in human history.
One of those ways is the incident of the burning bush in Exodus chapter three. God has never repeated that again.
The Bible says His flaming glory descended upon that bush, and it appeared like fire in the eyes of Moses and attracted him to the scene. But the bush was not burning because it was not a literal fire but God’s consuming glory!
That was a communication system that God used in unfolding to Moses His divine destiny, which resulted in the mandate to go (back) to Egypt and bring Israel out of the Egyptian bondage.
Another classified way God spoke, was when the earth opened up and swallowed those who rebelled against Moses. That was a special way that has not been repeated again in human history.
HE SPOKE IN THAT SIGN TO VALIDATE THE CALL AND MINISTRY OF MOSES.
Princes of Israel led by Dothan, Korah, and Abiram had questioned the authority of Moses and Aaron. They moved people under their influence to throw dust on the call and ministry of Moses. God needed to speak the clear the air, and He did.
Sadly, people died. That means, sometimes when God speaks, wicked people die. There are times when they will not die, but their wickedness will be neutralized.
Another classified way was seen when God spoke to Moses from a cloud of glory, that was visible to every eye that day. That has not been repeated again in human history. He also spoke by making a dry stick to grow leaves and flowers overnight.
God has classified and unclassified ways that He speaks.
In my book, GETTING AND STAYING MARRIED, I wrote just seven of the common ways God speaks, especially when guiding us. The fact is, that God’s communication system is multi-level and unlimited. He could speak to you in a dream or vision.
Talking about visions, we have what we call outward visions; which are visible motion or static pictures, supernaturally imposed on a wall or the air, for you to see. It can manifest as the activation of your natural and spiritual eyes, all at the same time, for you to see into the invisible. That was what happened to Mary.
And sometimes our natural and spiritual ears are also activated along to hear any accompanying voice or sound. For instance, most of Daniel’s visionary experiences were not night dreams but outward visions from Heaven.
Again, Mary’s encounter with the angel Gabriel was through an outward vision that was participatory in nature; that was why she could speak back to the angel.
Outward visions have been used by God to transmit communication from Heaven to the earth and carry out major redemptive assignments in the lives of men.
We also have what we call inward visions; which are static or motion pictures from the supernatural realm, internally displayed to the eye of your spirit.
THESE CLASSES OF VISIONARY STATES ARE QUICK AND STRONG.
They happen in a twinkling of an eye but leave behind a strong sensitivity to what was revealed. Why am I sharing these highlights on divine communication?
You see, like a pilot needs constant communication with the control tower for his flight to be successful, so your destiny will need constant communication between you and Heaven for it to be fulfilled. If you do not understand the concept of divine communication, and constantly be in touch with God, you will delay your divine destiny or live and die without fulfilling much.
This is where the subject of divine sensitivity comes in. It is why you must become mature in the supernatural act of hearing from God, and train your spiritual senses to be able to pick frequencies from Heaven from time to time.
One major reason we must all go deep with God is to come to the realm of faith where our hearts, ears, and eyes are made active to pick things from God’s glorious realm at all times.
A church generation that is rich but arrogant, blind, naked, and poor in the spirit will never come to that realm of faith – the realm of accurate divine communication.
That is why we have people who blindly got themselves trapped in spiritual snares called marriages, ministry, etc., consequently, defeating God’s program for their lives. Others have been given juicy positions in local Church assemblies that are simply gates of hell in the spirit.
If we will fulfil our divine destiny, we must be exposed to genuine encounters with the prophetic realm of God to become active in faith.
The faith I am referring to is not the one they teach in most churches that is full of fight and greed; I am referring to the Faith that comes by seeing and hearing accurately in the Spirit of God; a faith that is a by-product of tapping into God’s communication system accurately.
THAT IS WHAT YOUR DIVINE DESTINY WILL NEED TO BE FULFILLED.
It is a faith that sees the invisible and hears the inaudible in God’s glory; a faith that terminates spiritual blindness or deafness.
The truth is, if you are blind and deaf in the spirit, you will never be able to see or sense the routes and paths ways in God that you need to follow to fulfill your destiny.
The divine routes and paths we will need to follow to fulfill our divine destiny, are full of divine signposts, and supernatural alarm systems planted by God, to protect us from danger and save us from making the wrong decisions.
If you cannot read spiritual sign posts and pick divine alarms, how then will you be protected from evil or know which step to take at the crossroads of life? In other words, if you cannot perceive the voice of the Spirit or understand the tongues God speaks in, how will you unleash your divine destiny?
A major highlight in our devotional text this morning says,
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
Your divine destiny will need a constant touch with Heaven to be fulfilled. You will therefore need daily briefing or instructions from the Throne Room of God to fulfil your destiny.
God could use a prophetic person to keep you in constant touch with Him, but it is best to have your own divine communication gadgets so that you can be able to stay in touch with Him by yourself and for yourself.
Destiny is a personal affair, so most of what you will do to fulfill it, will depend on your personal prophetic hearing system. Upgrading it from time to time is therefore very necessary.
Beautifully, God has planted genuine apostolic and prophetic ministries around to help us in doing that. The only thing you need to do is to locate them and plant yourself there.
That is the word of the LORD for the day!! May it be a light to your feet and a lamp to your path, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen!!!

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.
Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.”
Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim this, utter it to the end of the earth; Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!” Isaiah 48:17-20 NKJV
