TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 19TH APRIL 2024)
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 110TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
Glory be to God in the Highest, and peace to men of goodwill. We give glory to God for keeping us, favoring us, helping us, and for giving us another day to be alive. Not just alive, but alive with the life we need to keep serving our generation according to His will.
The combination of God’s grace, God’s mercies, God’s goodness, God’s glory, and our willingness to pay the price for kingdom treasures, is one of the most powerful combinations in the Kingdom of God. I see all that in the life of my spiritual father, who taught me how to relate with my Heavenly Father and be an effective end time minister.
Today, all who have been desiring to see where my spiritual roots sprang from, have had a foretaste of it.
I give God the glory for keeping Him all these years, despite the ups and down he faced by the hands of devilish people, perverted church members, fellow ministers of the gospel, who cornered him to almost loose what he got for our generation.
This great man has gone through hell and back.
At a point, almost everyone wrote him off and gave him their different names. Even those God used him to save from death, insanity, depravity, destruction, and all that, joined in adding to his pain. Ministers who would not have had a ministry in life without him, never cared when he needed them most.
But God, whose gifts and callings are without repentance, sustained His own name in his life, and made sure His name for him destroyed all those names he was given by the evil minds, who never understood his warfare.
You see, life can be very unfair sometimes.
When people do not understand your warfare, especially those who should, having received so much from you, it does not feel good. When they pretend not to know why you might be behaving the way you do, it feels so bad.
During those moments, they behave like men who do not understand why things seems to be going South with you. Those who falsified their care for you in your days of prosperity will reveal their true identity by joining in calling you names and reducing the little reputation of you that was left to nothing.
INDEED, PROSPERITY BRINGS FRIENDS, ADVERSITY TEST THEM. THE ONLY TRUE FRIEND A MAN CAN HAVE IN LIFE IS GOD.
Like I stated earlier, He has His own name sealed in our lives. Whenever people try to destroy us, by using our warfare to call us names, God will come through for us, by making sure His name in our lives manifest to destroy the names those who do not understand our warfare, might be calling us.
I declare unto you today, that you have a name that the LORD has given you.
It does not matter what people might be calling you, God’s name in your life remains intact. It will destroy what every other person might be calling you, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen!!
Like He did for our spiritual authority, He will do for you and for everyone.
It is from him I understood why I have had victories over evil people all my life and ministry. God’s faithfulness is usually stronger than the fights of our life. Yes, His backings are usually stronger than the battles the enemy might unleash upon us.
His mercies are always stronger than our life mistakes and the miseries they bring. His power at work in our lives, is usually stronger than any problem of life the enemy might bring upon us, or we might bring upon ourselves.
Our devotional text says;
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
God will never allow that power at work in us to be obliterated by any attacks we might face in life. You must know that, and then pay the price that is required to unleash it when the enemy comes against you.
From what we heard yesterday, and from my walk with him over the years as a son, I have seen my spiritual father pay the price each time the enemy came against him. He had always paid the price to unleash the power that is at work in Him.
The very power of the Holy Spirit that is also at work in each and every one of us, like he made us understand yesterday. All the exploits in His ministry are rooted in the price. The price of being dead to all that kills the power that is at work in us.
HE CALLS ONE OF THE SET OF PRICES HE PAYS “SCHOOL OF KNEEOLOGY.”
This is the school to attend and build your life around if you want to live your days unleashing that power that is at work in you whenever the enemy comes.
The school is not the place of doing the kind of prayers you see Christians do in church today. He did not do such kinds of prayers. Such will never unleash the power that is at work in you. He would not have earned all those testimonies with such prayers.
He did the prayers of our Bible fathers; prayers not guided by prayer points, prayers not written on sheets of paper and given to men like Joshua Selman to lie on them. He prayed prayers that moved him form the earth realm, to the glory realm, where Jesus lives and appears to all who seek Him personally.
In fact, what I saw as he ministered among us yesterday, surpassed my expectations. The last time I saw him, age was telling on him due to the battles of life. I thought that was still the case. But God, the ageless one, brought down my paradigm.
Also, he has gone through so much in the past decade, and I thought he had retired, but yesterday I saw something different. A man who is almost 70 years looking 40 in strength. May that be our portion.
I was awestruck at God and His servant. I never knew he was back with a bang. Indeed, God has a history of not allowing His holy Ones to see corruption, even if they are buried by the enemy.
There is so much we can share on this platform. But yesterday, I felt the same way I felt, both in the year 2000, when he came to commission us into ministry, after seven to eight years of active ministry, and the year 1991-1992, when he visited the local Church I grew up in!
You cannot be birth into ministry by a father like this and vultures eat you up. The seed of God planted in me by the LORD of Heaven and earth using him, will never allow that happen.
We have seen so much this week and heard so much that I felt, this devotional should be brief. I believe there is more ahead of us.
It is my prayer that the LORD will use these few thoughts that have been shared today to fire us all towards the direction of manifesting as sons of God, in a world that is in need of such manifestations. Amen!

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” Romans 8:18-21 AKJV
