THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 9TH JUNE 2023)**

“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.” Hebrews 11:23 KJV

WELCOME TO THE 160TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.

God has been kind, faithful, and true to us. He has been a faithful friend, father, shelter, mercy seat, and all that. Personally, I wish I can be faithful to Him as He has been faithful to me. My life would have taken a more glorious turn and made more impact in the lives of men.

While I look forward to achieving that, I would say, blessed be the name of the LORD who has not given me to the teeth of my enemies. My help is in the name of the LORD! Amen.

We have been looking at matters of divine destiny, and today I want to refresh our minds with certain truths about the same.

Divine destiny can be like pregnancy. When we say your divine destiny, we are referring to the totality of God’s will, routes, vision, plans, purpose, etc. for your life. There are two aspects of divine destiny, we have an eternal destiny and a prophetic destiny.

Sometimes to fulfill your prophetic destiny, you need to apply the wisdom and principles that guide the life of a pregnant woman, from conception to delivery.

One of the major things you see in the life of a pregnant woman, is what is called “signs of pregnancy.” If you ask any woman who might have had the experience, she will tell you that the signs of pregnancy vary, it can be very troublesome for some women, and mild for others.

Some women will be having headaches, throwing up early morning, feeling feverish, and very uneasy. Others will be so sickly that they can’t even wake up from their beds in the morning without some help.

As it progresses in the life of some, you find their faces changing; some will become radiant and beautiful, while others very ugly, weak, and always feeling tired. The once beautiful face will be looking like the face of an Ape. Then after delivery, the shine and beauty returns even more gloriously. I do not know why it is like that, only God and maybe science knows.

We are not having an antenatal session or taking a pregnancy class this morning; I just shared those pregnancy sound bites, to tell us that what pregnancy does to women naturally, is what prophetic destiny does to a Child of God spiritually.

THERE ARE SIGNS OF PROPHETIC DESTINY TOO.

They vary from person to person, or faith to faith, or level of maturity to level of maturity, revelation knowledge to revelation knowledge, spiritual family to spiritual family, and so forth.

Many years ago, a woman of God who is old enough to be my mother met me for a fellowship. As we sat down to share the things of GOD, she began to complain about her youngest son. She said the boy spends more time in prayer than anything else. That it was becoming unusual. He will wake up in the morning, take his bath and retire to one of the rooms praying for hours.

I told her it was a sign of a divine call.

Suddenly, it dawned on me that the same thing happened to me as a little boy. I always felt something pulling me to prayers. Not that I knew how to pray. It would just drive me to my knees and I would either be saying the rosary or anything I could. We were Catholics then.

It was so unusual that my siblings became scared like she was too.

As I grew up, I began to understand that those were signs of divine destiny. Today I am fulfilling my divine destiny, as God’s “teaching priest” and “scribe” to the nations (like many others), under the apostolic and prophetic grace. This is actually the spiritual reality that was on display then as a spiritual pregnancy. I hope you understand me!

DEEP INTIMACY is a sign of a divine call, or a prophetic destiny. That is why I wonder why the many who say they are called of God do not have a prayer life. How can you be called of GOD, and not have a prayer life? It is impossible.

If your life is pregnant with a divine destiny, it will begin to show in your devotional life. You will be feeling something pulling you to prayer from time to time. Whenever you feel that, you are experiencing what I describe as “Prophetic destiny calls.”

If you respond faithfully, you will end up building a powerful prayer life, and an effective relationship with God; both of which are necessary for the release of divine destiny. However, if you do not respond, you will never have what it takes to release your destiny.

Consequently, becoming diseased spiritually and stuck in life.

No one can release his destiny without a consistent prayer life, and an effective relationship with God. If you do not respond to destiny calls and build that relationship with God, evident by an effective prayer life, you will develop a spiritual condition that is likened to that of a woman, with a pregnancy that is not developing.

THERE ARE WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN PREGNANT FOR TEN YEARS WITHOUT GIVING BIRTH. THEY LIVED VERY UNPLEASANT LIVES.

Devils stalled the growth of their pregnancy and kept them in pains all those years until God delivered them. The fetus miraculously survived the ordeal. That will be the condition you will develop spiritually for not building the needed relationship with God.

A divine destiny is made up of your eternal destiny and your prophetic destiny. The primary purpose of the signs of divine destiny, is to bring us to a point in our faith, where we begin to live our lives according to the demands of our eternal and prophetic destinies.

Our devotional text today said when the parents of Moses discerned some signs of divine destiny in the life of Moses, even as a New Born Baby, they took necessary steps to hide him from the sword of the government of Egypt, that was bent at killing every male Child born to the Jews then.

I like the word the Old King James version used to describe what his parents saw. It says

“…because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.”

The phrase proper Child is very revealing. Among other things, it revealed that Moses was not ordinary. The verse unveiled the blessing of having spiritual and biological parents who can see into the realm of divine destiny and identify destiny signs in their children.

I pray God give us spiritual parents who can discern any sign of divine destiny we may be struggling with; because if Moses’ parents had not discerned those signs in his life, they would not have hidden him from the enemy.

If they were blind like most spiritual and biological parents are today; folks who are only interested in the carnal and mundane, there would have been no Moses. But God forbid!

Parenting is beyond having a child you call your own.

In God’s design, where biological parenting fail, God designed that spiritual parenting should come for the rescue. But when it comes to spiritual parenting, many are under blind spiritual parents.

SOME ARE BLIND SPIRITUALLY, OTHERS IN SOME OTHER WAYS.

Some are blind and barren in matters of development. They see the signs of divine destiny their spiritual children are struggling with; things like persistent spiritual attacks, and end up giving them spiritual treatments that rather sabotage their prophetic destiny. That is the dilemma of many in the church today.

God wants to flood the earth with terrific prophets, apostles, intercessors and hell shaking gospel artist, pastors and Evangelists this end time.

But these pregnancies are under threat because, most of those pregnant with these divine destinies, are under blind guides, who cannot tell how the sign of divine destiny look like, or protect the people from the spiritual swords the enemy has released against them with deep truths. If Moses’ parents were like the present-day blind biological parents, or money-and-worship seeking spiritual parents of our days, there would have been no Moses.

I fear that if those pregnant with these end time callings, do not disconnect from empty or demonic church systems, and embrace the kingdom life, they will either stall the development of their divine conceptions or pregnancies, or eliminate their Prophetic Babies all together.

This is time for someone to ask the LORD for spiritual parents who will serve as prophetic and apostolic midwives, instead of predators, and submit to them. Your destiny will need such an authority in your life to be fulfilled.

You will need to be set by the LORD in a spiritual family or an apostolic home, where God would use the authority of a spiritual parent to shape you into what He wants you to be. The Bible says;

“A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation.

God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.” Psalm 68:5-6 AMPC

I pray for you today that you wake up from any slumber. I pray that you take your eyes off you, and fix them on the signs of your divine destiny. If you do, your life will become brighter. It will help you see who your spiritual parents should be.

In the book of Acts, Saul had to be positioned by God in the Church at Antioch, an apostolic home; so that his divine pregnancy as an apostle to the nations will develop and the Child be born in due season. He was placed in a spiritual midwife system, that was graced by God to operate in the prophetic teaching grace.

When his due season came, he was called out, had hands laid on him, and pushed prophetically, into his divine destiny. You are the next on God’s list. You need the same spiritual development. So, do not allow a blind guide to ordain you a deacon while you ought to be an apostle to the nations. Do not allow anyone to stall your true pregnancy and give you something else to bring forth. You will be miserable at the end of your life.

MAKE THIS DEVOTIONAL TEXT AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;

“Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.”

“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.” Acts 13:1-4 NKJV
